Payment Flow for Acharya Classes a unit of Elemetos private limited

1. User Registration and Account Setup

  • Students and teachers must register on the Acharya Classes platform using their email, phone number, and necessary details.
  • Teachers set their session or batch fees, and students can view the pricing on the platform.

2. Payment Process for Students

Step 1: Select a Service

  • Students choose between one-to-one sessions or group study (premium holders).
  • The service price (set by teachers) will be displayed, including platform commission.

Step 2: Payment Options

  • Students proceed to payment using the available methods:
    • Credit/Debit Card
    • UPI Payments (e.g., Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
    • Net Banking
    • Wallet Payments

Step 3: Confirmation

  • Upon successful payment, the platform generates:
    • payment receipt for the student (via email/SMS).
    • Session confirmation details (date, time, teacher profile).

Step 4: Payment to Teacher

  • Acharya Classes holds the payment securely until the session is successfully completed.
  • After the session, the platform deducts its 30% commission and transfers the remaining 70% to the teacher’s registered bank account or wallet.

3. Teacher Payment Flow

Step 1: Teacher Fee Setup

  • Teachers set their desired session fees for one-to-one or group study sessions.
  • The displayed price includes a 30% platform commission.

Step 2: Payment Release

  • After session completion, payments are processed as follows:
    • Platform Fee Deduction: 30%
    • Teacher Payout: 70%
  • Payments are released to the teacher’s bank account or preferred payment wallet within 3-5 business days.

4. Payment Notifications

  • Both students and teachers will receive instant notifications (email/SMS) for:
    • Successful payments
    • Session bookings or cancellations
    • Refund updates (if applicable)
    • Payment releases for teachers

5. Refund Flow

  • Refunds for eligible cancellations or failed sessions will be initiated as per the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

6. Security and Compliance

  • All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS-compliant gateways.
  • Payment details are encrypted and not stored on the platform.
